The Golden State Warriors have had a disappointing series so far in the season. Apart from missing out on players due to injuries, the team struggles to construct a winning streak. Especially, in their last outing against the Sacramento Kings, they blew out the game even after producing a 24-point lead. Despite the frustrating loss, the team doesn’t seem to have lost their spirits. Ahead of the Dubs’ big-3’s special game on Thursday night, coach Steve Kerr sent out a heartwarming message.

Kerr joined the Warriors camp in 2014 and since then the Dubs have been the most successful team in the league. The team not only won 4 championships but also believed in the core three, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Especially after a lot of criticism of Klay and DrayMagic for their underwhelming performances in the last two seasons, Kerr continued to back them.

The season has been a rollercoaster ride for the Dubs. They kick-started it with a  5-game winning streak and followed by a 6-game losing streak. While the team has a lot at stake, it has other troubles as well. Draymond Green missed 5 games due to a suspension, Klay Thompson struggled to get buckets and Stephen Curry missed a couple of games due to a knee injury.

Despite all the setbacks, the management continued to trust their core as they have been doing for the last 13 years. Moreover, as a reflection of the trio’s bond, the Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Clippers turned out to be a perfect tribute.

The league perfectly crafted the Thursday night game for the Dubs, as the date matches the jersey numbers of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green (30/11/23). In the same spirit, a reporter asked Steve Kerr about coaching them on the special date, and he only had a heartwarming response. Kerr said, “I’m forever in these guys’ debt… Coaching these guys, it doesn’t happen often… Love all three guys.”
