“Bronny has a better shot than LeBron James.” With highlights like these, you can imagine the level of hype Bronny James, son of star player of the Los Angeles Lakers, is getting. LeBron James, with his child prodigy, made an unofficial appearance at the Ohio State football team’s game against Maryland on Saturday afternoon. It was only a few moments after the game that the 2025 Hoops (Bryce James) recruit received a scholarship offer from Buckeye’s mean basketball program.
The 6-foot-6 small forward took to Instagram shortly after receiving the offer. The caption was: “Blessed to receive an offer from Ohio State #GoBuckeyes.” Not only did he make this announcement himself, but detailed coverage was already done when he was talking to Ohio State men’s basketball coach Chris Holtman.

The comparison came from ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who has studied LeBron since his high school days. In a conversation with Bill Simmons, he claimed that Bryce might have the chance to get drafted before the elder one.
He said, “I think [Bronny] is going to go to college, maybe for multiple years,” Windhorst said. “The one thing we know is that, for somebody to jump right into the NBA or be [in college] a year and be ready, it’s usually somebody that’s in the top five, six, seven, eight, or nine players in any top 100 ranking.”
