The Los Angeles Lakers seem pretty locked in this preseason. The team had their first win but what was more impressive was role players having a big game. And obviously, one such player was none other than Austin Reaves. The hype surrounding Reaves is only growing bigger as each day passes. And even his teammates cannot help but praise him.

Recently, Austin Reaves made a huge claim which also involved the Golden State Warriors guard, Stephen Curry. And Reaves? claim now seems to be backed up by his All-Star teammate as well.

Austin Reaves did not take Stephen Curry into consideration

Stephen Curry has solidified himself as the best shooter in the history of the NBA. At least that is what the general consensus agrees to. But there is another place Curry seems to excel at.

The Chef is an avid golfer but apart from playing just for leisure, Curry is pretty good at it too. So much that the four-time NBA champion just won the American Century Championship a few months ago.

He also aced a hole-in-one during that tournament and became the only NBA player to win the title. So, when Austin Reaves was asked who the best golfer in the NBA was, he did not hesitate to take his name.

According to GolfDigest, Reaves took his own name when asked who the best golfer was among NBA players. And now, it seems as if his All-Star teammate, D?Angelo Russell too agrees to that.

Russell mentioned how the team visited Topgolf and Reaves was hitting golf trick shots. He chimed in on Hillbilly Kobe being exceptional at that as well. Russell said, ?He?s pretty good at everything to be honest. That was no surprise.?

Reaves looks locked in

Austin Reaves had a huge offseason with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 25-year-old landed a huge $56 million contract with the team after going undrafted. Not only that but Reaves also made the Team USA roster for the FIBA World Cup.

Even though Team USA was not able to get the gold, Reaves is looking to have a big season with the Lakers. He made his preseason debut against the Brooklyn Nets and scored 18 points in the 20 minutes that he played.
