The Los Angeles Clippers won against the Indiana Pacers in a stunning showdown of 151-127. James Harden was the star of the show. Posting a game-high 35 points, Harden landed six three-pointers in the fourth quarter alone, as well as getting 21 of the team’s 37 points.

Not satisfied with the big night, the “Beard” made it even more memorable, with a celebratory yell in the frame. But what’s even more interesting is his enigmatic message on X (formerly Twitter), soon after their victory.

Harden posted, “first they Love you, then… nvm #Uno.” It could very well be a dig at the barrage of insults, criticisms, and harsh comments that were thrown his way during the past months. But then again, he could just be in the mood for some Jay Z (Meet The Parents – 2002).

The Clippers were in the direct line of fire for bringing James Harden in the name of talent, when they were already loaded with that. Add to it their six-game losing streak after Harden’s arrival did nothing to reduce the bullets. But their recent success and their current eight-game winning streak has everyone backpedaling.

How the Big 4 has increased title contention chances for LA

Confused about where to place their Big 4 so that each of them could make use of their skills to the maximum while ensuring the team benefits from them was a mountain Coach Lue had to climb. But a key point to note is how the health of Kawhi and Paul has proven to be a major boon for the team. We all know how the “Klaw” is susceptible to injuries. Tonight’s match saw Leonard with 28 points and George with 27. Unsurprisingly, the 2x NBA champion made sure not to get swept up in the celebrations. “It’s good, but I don’t think it means anything until we get to the end of the season,” Kawhi pointed out.

Having someone to keep the team grounded will help the Clippers keep their focus intact. And clearly, Kawhi Leonard is the best person to do so. Of course, the chemistry and understanding of their star players are the other two aspects that will make or break the super squad.

The LA Clippers are now sixth in the Western Conference and will be facing the fifth-position Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Tied at 16-10 and a winning percentage of .615, the next matchup will be crucial for both the franchises. Do you think the short-handed Mavs can beat the Big 4 of the LA?
