While some of the popular games in the NBA have very high ticket prices, it is not the same for the WNBA and the FIBA World Cup.

What is the starting ticket price for the FIBA World Cup?

The same can be said about the 2023 FIBA World Cup being held in Phillipines, Japan and Indonesia. The ticket prices range from IDR 100 thousand to IDR 2 million for the low category games. This amounts to $6.54 to $130 for the games.

The ticket prices slightly increase for the high category games which involve teams like the USA and Spain. The ticket prices are priced at IDR 150 thousand or $9.81 to IDR 2.5 million or $163.50.

Nevertheless, these prices are quite affordable in case a fan wants to watch Anthony Edwards, Austin Reaves and other stars in action.

What’re the NBA ticket prices?

The NBA boasts of having some of the biggest names in basketball play in the league. Ticket prices vary from one team to another. Moreover, the performance of the teams also plays a role in deciding ticket prices.

Ticket prices usually hover around the $95 to $600 mark. Teams like the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks have higher prices compared to other teams.

Prices for courtside tickets are in a different ball game altogether. Want to watch Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in action? Prices soared upto $8000 for courtside tickets to watch the Dallas Mavericks.

Ticket prices for the 2022 NBA Finals between the Warriors and the Boston Celtics grabbed a lot of headlines. After all, courtside ticket prices went upto $22,044 for Game 3 while the lowest price for the VIP section was $6,356.

The WNBA has affordable prices

Unlike the NBA, its women’s counterpart does a good job in offering affordable ticket prices for all. The popularity of the game and its stars play a huge role in the drop in ticket prices.

The average ticket price for a WNBA game was $47 a few years ago. However, there has been a major surge in popularity which has increased this amount.

The Washington Mystics and the Las Vegas Aces had comparatively higher prices compared to other teams. When it comes to courtside tickets, the WNBA is far off from the NBA. Chicago Sky, one of the most popular teams in the league, offers courtside tickets ranging from $3,300 to $6,000.
