Jordan Poole was supposed to take over the reins of the Golden State Warriors franchise once the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green rode off into the sunset. After the incident, Draymond Green even had a Twitter spat with Jordan?s father, Anthony Poole. And it looks like his father?s insult is still haunting the 24-year-old guard as Jordan Poole dodged the Draymond Green mention in a recent interview.

Jordan Poole?s reaction to Draymond Green question

Jordan Poole sat down for an interview with The Ringer to discuss his future with the Washington Wizards. But without beating around the bush, the interviewer brought up a question about Draymond Green. Poole kept a poker face and refused to talk about the Warriors Center, ?Next Question. Next Question.? He further added, ?Now you know I wasn?t going to answer nothing along the lines of that.?

The young guard had a sibling-like relationship with Draymond, but everything changed after a video of Draymond punching Poole last year surfaced on social media. Ten days after the infamous punch, Poole re-signed with the Warriors on a 4-year $140 million contract. Despite the massive contract extension, Poole got traded to the Washington Wizards after the end of last season. Jordan Poole?s decision to avoid Draymond-related questions could also be because of his father?s heated exchange with the veteran Center.

Draymond Green?s beef with Jordan Poole?s father

After Poole got traded to the Washington Wizards, Draymond Green elaborated on the build-up to the punch during his appearance on The Pat Bev Podcast. Jordan?s father, Anthony Poole, chimed in on the discussion via Twitter, putting Green on blast, ?JP was his guy and he avoid me all last yr. After Anthony?s comments, Draymond Green responded with an insult of his own, ?That?s so cute? it?s impossible to avoid you an arena for a year champ. I got get my family from that family room every game. And stop using those words, they usually don?t go over well amongst men.? It is possible that Jordan Poole is still haunted by his father?s insult and does not want to revisit his past. Poole is looking for a fresh start in Washington and hopes to take his career to the next level.
