The road back to full strength for Ben Simmons has been difficult. His inability to play in the second part of the previous season sparked questions about his health and long-term prospects. A painful left knee and a crippling nerve ailment in his back caused him to sit out. This left the fans and experts wondering if the former All-Star would ever return to prime form. However, the tide has shifted, and Simmons is on the verge of a successful return.

Simmons has been carefully training for his comeback, according to Vaughn’s new discoveries, including engaging in 5-on-5 practices during the offseason. The idea of an injury-free training camp has sparked optimism that Simmons can once again dominate as a point guard. Even his teammate, Spencer?Dinwiddie thinks the same and spoke about that in a podcast with Patrick Beverley and Adam Ferrone.

Ferrone asked Dinwidler “Ben Simmons coming back I think really changes things. Have you, like, kinda thought how you two would fit together on that team?” To which Dinwidler replied, “Ben in his best form is a far more athletic Draymond Green with less obviously three-point shooting. But Draymond is not a big type 3-point guy, he hits it sparingly.”

“When you talk about the defense IQ, reading passing lanes, quarterbacking a defense, able to guard 1 through 5; he was never fortunate enough to play with Steph and Klay, obviously. So I think if he was in that type of environment, we would see the same type of triple-doubles, accolades”.
