LeBron James and Gregg Popovich are a crucial part of each other’s legacy. Throughout his career, King James has faced Coach Pop’s San Antonio Spurs multiple times in the post-season, giving the fans some of the most exciting playoff series ever. Despite their long-running rivalry, there is nothing but love and respect between the two legends. LeBron showered some love on Popovich after beating Victor Wembanyama and Co. last night.

King James posted a picture with Coach Pop on X along with a heartfelt message, “Love you Pop!!” LeBron’s love for Gregg Popovich gave fans a chance to take shots at his current head coach, Darvin Ham. The NBA World pointed out that LeBron has never posted a similar message for Ham despite him being the Lakers head coach for nearly two years.

Another fan posted a LeBron meme showing how Darvin Ham would feel after seeing his post.

One fan even questioned why Darvin Ham was still the Lakers head coach.

The NBA World also wondered how many rings the Lakers would have if Gregg Popovich was their head coach instead of Darvin Ham.

After the Lakers started struggling following their in-season tournament win, many believed they would fire Darvin Ham midseason. However, Rob Pelinka has decided to stick with Ham for the rest of the season to see how things pan out. And Pelinka’s decision is starting to pay dividends. The Lakers have picked things up in the second half and improved to a 31-27 record. LeBron James and Co. hope to bag a higher seed to avoid the play-in tournament.

LeBron James believes Gregg Popovich will elevate Victor Wembanyama’s career
