The Boston Celtics pulled off late magic in their match-up against the Oklahoma City Thunder. What could have been a brilliant fourth-quarter drama turned into a hit-and-miss for the Celtics. The visitors trailed behind by 18 points in the fourth quarter and lost the game by a 4-point margin. However, rising star Kristaps Porzingis’ costly miss with 3 seconds remaining on the clock reminded fans of the latest LeBron James drama and an old Kevin Durant drama.
The Thunder pulled off a shocker on the Eastern Conference leader with a dominant performance. The OKC was running for a blow-out win in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics displayed their clutch prowess with much-needed buckets to bring the game to the live wire. Despite the intense nature of the game, fans were only interested in a particular moment of the game and got their funny bones into working.

Fans pull in LeBron James and Kevin Durant on a meme fest
Recently, fans witnessed an animated James when his three-point attempt was counted as a two-pointer during his birthday game. The call became extremely controversial as the superstar shared the picture of his foot behind the line on his social media.
On the other hand, Kevin Durant once blamed his 18-inch foot size for stepping on the line. Importantly, it cost him the game and a playoff elimination in 2021. Following the loss, KD said, “my big a** foot stepped on the line.. I just saw how close I was to ending their season with that shot.
Kevin Durant said that he initially thought his shot at the end of regulation was a three.
"But my big ass foot stepped on the line," Durant said, in part. "I just saw how close I was to ending their season with that shot."

Similarly, Kristaps Porzingis stepped on the line during the crucial moment and fans couldn’t get enough of it. The 7 ‘2 tall star had the opportunity to bring the deficit down 1 point with 3 seconds left on the clock. But, unfortunately, he stepped on the line while taking a 22-point jumper. Eventually pulled in a lot of reactions.
Here are some of the comments.

Some sections of the fans were sure that the game would have gone into overtime if Porzingis stepped an inch behind the line.

Fans definitely took the incident on a lighter note, but it is unsure whether the tall center received the incident similarly.
However, despite the loss, Porzingis’s 34-point outing is a definite takeaway for the Boston side, looking ahead in the season.

The Celts lose after a steady comeback
Porzingis and Derrick White have been thriving in the green jersey despite the overpowering attention on stars like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. And the two rising stars displayed their prowess against the OKC as well.
While the big man led the team’s offense with 34 points, D-White dropped 19 points with 5 rebounds and 6 assists, shadowing Jaylen Brown’s quite 4-18 FG night.
The Celtics are yet to lose a single game at home and currently have the best record in the season with 26-7, followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 24-8 record.
