Whether facing star-studded teams or squads renowned for their defensive clamps, Joel Embiid is scoring at will against all opponents. In a recent matchup against the top-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves, Embiid delivered a remarkable performance, notching a season-high 51 points and 12 rebounds. His recent stretch of exceptional play has positioned Embiid alongside some of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. The game against Wolves marks a huge milestone, with Embiid achieving his 12th consecutive game of scoring 30 or more points and grabbing 10 or more rebounds.

During the post-game interview, Embiid was asked about his sentiments and his thoughts upon learning his latest feat. To this, Embiid nonchalantly responded with a simple “Nothing.” Despite the amusement it brought to the press, Embiid clarified that individual statistics mean little to him if they don’t contribute to victories. His primary focus remains on achieving success for the team, emphasizing that personal stats without a team win hold no significance for him.

Embiid and Abdul-Jabbar stand alongside a select group in NBA history, with only Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and Walt Bellamy achieving 12 or more consecutive games of 30 and 10.
