The Golden State Warriors recently faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks. With Draymond Green and his teammates coming fresh from an embarrassing 52-point loss against the Celtics, the Warriors needed to get their rhythm back. Especially when faced with the second-seeded team in the East. The Warriors required some fresh changes, and they utilized their bench to the fullest to land those changes perfectly.
While everyone played their part in the overwhelming victory over Milwaukee, Trayce Jackson-Davis shined brightly for GSW when Draymond Green found himself in trouble. Green was tasked with keeping Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo in check. But, his defensive efficiency started to diminish as the match headed into the third quarter. But, Jackson-Davis didn’t give the Dub Nation a lot of reasons to worry as he stood strongly against the Greek Freak.

The 24-year-old rookie saved the day and aided GSW to stomp the Bucks with a staggering 125-90 win. A video tweeted on X by 95.7 The Game showcased Draymond Green speaking about the heroics of Trayce Jackson-Davis in the post-game press conference. According to him, “It was huge, I told him thank you, he saved me because I was awful in the third quarter. Missing layups, turning the ball over, and Steve (Kerr) got me out of there. Got Trayce in, and he was blocking shots, he was rebounding, he was dunking the ball. Good finishes, and he just brought the life back to us.”

Draymond Green further said, “He was starting to make that run. When you’re playing against a great team, they’re always going to make a run. You can’t get yourself out of it, and I just couldn’t get it going in the third quarter. Trayce came in and saved me for short. That was awful, but saved the day for us. Built the lead back up, I think that cuts to six. He was able to make a lot of plays on both ends of the floor, to get us back in the position to take control of this game.”
The press conference clearly showcases that the rookie has won the admiration of Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors are actually in desperate need of someone like Jackson Davis. In fact, the defensive prowess of the NBA greenhorn also won the respect of GSW head coach Steve Kerr.

Trayce Jackson-Davis secures more minutes for future games
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a two-time NBA MVP, who is one of the hardest players to defend against. Combined with Jae Crowder and Damian Lillard, The Greek Freak becomes an unstoppable force. Despite this challenge and an insufficient Draymond Green, Steve Kerr rolled the Trayce Jackson-Davis dice against Milwaukee. The 25-point deficit for the Bucks clearly shows that Kerr rolled a six.
Speaking about Antetokounmpo after the match, Steve Kerr said, “It takes a village to guard that guy and we needed everybody for sure.” Despite GSW registering a staggering season-high of 13 blocks, out of which Jackson-Davis contributed four, Antetokounmpo still managed to get to 29 points. One of the most memorable moments of the game occurred when Giannis dashed to the hoop to deposit the ball but the rookie leaped to block the same with one hand. The Greek Freak counterattacked but Jackson-Davis blocked that as well!
