Amid the grim situation in the Bay area, the Dub Nation has something to cheer about. The return of Draymond Green. Following a disciplinary action taken against him, the league gave the green signal for the 4x champ to step back on the court. While there is a buzz about the star’s return, head coach Steve Kerr silenced it with a confident statement on Tuesday.

The league slapped an indefinite suspension on the Dubs star, following his aggressive act against the Phoenix Suns star Jusuf Nurkić. Notably, this incident occurred days after he returned from a 5-game suspension for another violent act on court. While these things set a prejudice that Green would repeat his antics even after the indefinite suspension, but Kerr has a response.

The Golden State Warriors are currently in a rough patch after the blowout loss against the Toronto Raptors at home. Stephen Curry failed to work his magic in the game, as he couldn’t drop a single three-pointer for the second time in the season. On the other hand, Chris Paul fractured his hand and would miss at least a month, recovering.

Amid this situation, ideally, fans should be happy that one of the Dubs’ core is returning to the roster. But Draymond Green‘s history of aggression has kept the fans at bay. However, Steve Kerr decided to break the shackles with a strong statement.

When Kerr was recently asked whether Green would be able to control his antics on court following his return, he made a strong statement. He added, “I think Draymond knows his career is on the line… He recognizes that it is different this time.”

Kerr has openly admitted that Green is aware that his career is on the line. At the same time, Green also considered retiring during his suspension.

Following the league’s decision to slap the indefinite suspension on Green, the star rarely made any public appearance nor any social media activity. Everything that happened during the suspension popped up after it was lifted.

Appearing on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, he revealed how Adam Silver, the NBA Commissioner, talked him out of his retirement idea.

He claimed the commissioner said that Green was “making a rash decision” and that he wouldn’t let that happen.
