One of the most controversial stars this season has been Draymond Green. This 33-year-old Warriors star signed a $100 million contract in 2023, which shows his importance to the franchise. However, the star got suspended three times already this season due to his “unsportsmanlike behaviors.” As of now, the 4x NBA champion has served his 16-game suspension and will be making his much-awaited comeback for the Golden State Warriors.
But before making his comeback he shared a story of a post on his social media which claims that only basketball greats like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, etc. are ahead of him as per stats. This post has shocked the internet because it is not true, yet Green has given his validation for it.

A Draymond Green fan page put up a post on Instagram, which was shared by the 4x All-Star in which they claimed that Green’s total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks are some of the highest in the league. And the only players that are ahead of him are LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, and Kevin Garnett. However, this stat is not accurate at all, and here is why. Draymond Green’s total points are 8,547, total assists are 5294, and total rebounds are 6750.

Now let’s compare these stats with some of the basketball athletes who are currently dominating in the league. Giannis Antetokounmpo, has a total point of 19,574, total assists of 4014, and total rebounds of 8271. This clearly shows that the Greek Freak is ahead of Draymond Green in points as well as rebounds. Not only him, but even Jayson Tatum has more points than Green adding up to 13.086, which shows that the claims mentioned by Draymond Green’s fan page are completely baseless.
But even though those claims might not be true, Draymond Green is an exceptional player without a doubt and the Dubs fans are eagerly awaiting his return because only his defensive attributes can save the Warriors now.

Green’s much-awaited comeback might be tonight or at the Utah Jazz game
Draymond Green, the two-time All-NBA forward, is set to return after serving a 16-game suspension. According to the head coach, Steve Kerr, he might return to the lineup against the Utah Jazz or the Memphis Grizzlies because his absence has had a major influence on the Warriors’ play. During his suspension, the team was not performing up to the mark and had a record of 9 wins and 9 losses.

So, his comeback is expected to give a huge boost to the roster, especially when paired with the backcourt combination of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. However, playing the red-hot Utah Jazz, who have gone 14-4 in their past 18 games, might be difficult for Green, especially given the Jazz’s recent offensive prowess.
