After a rough start to his Clippers era, James Harden seems to have found his rhythm in LA. Harden has helped his new team win two straight games, and he is slowly starting to get back to last season?s form. But The Beard might be facing the tallest challenge of his career tonight as the Clippers are going head-to-head against Victor Wembanyama and Co.

However, James Harden was ready for the 7?4 challenger and got in his bag early to embarrass the 19-year-old rookie. The NBA World was shocked by a ?Washed? Harden cooking Wembanyama and slammed him on social media.

James Harden just gave Victor Wemabnyama his ?Welcome to the League? moment. He put some insane dribble moves on the DPOY candidate early in the first quarter of tonight?s game. In an iso play, Harden made Wemby dance on defense and ended the sequence with an insane step-back shot.

Harden humiliating Wembanyama on defense garnered a huge reaction from the NBA world. One fan wrote on X, ?DPOY candidate getting cooked by a washed carefree Harden?, somehow trolling both players with a single comment. Other fans followed suit and slammed Wembanyama for his defense.

A fan even called Wembanyama the most overrated player in the NBA.

Even though Wembanyama got trolled for getting ‘cooked’ by The Beard, his defense was not bad on that play. Wemby kept up with one of the most lethal scorers in league history despite his 7?4 frame. Not many centers in the league would even come close to guarding James Harden in that capacity. The former MVP just played better offense and outclassed the young Frenchman.

Can Wemby overcome his recent struggles?

Victor Wembanyama had a great start to his NBA career. He put up elite performances in each game and even scored a career-high 38 points against Kevin Durant and Co. earlier this month. But Wemby?s performance has taken a hit since that game. He has struggled to get going on offense, and the San Antonio Spurs have fallen to the 14th spot in the Western Conference standings. San Antonio is on a 9-game losing streak, and Wembanyama?s struggles are a big reason for that.

He is still the scoring leader among rookies with 18.6 points per game, but it is no longer a wild difference between him and Chet Holmgren. The San Antonio Spurs have high expectations for Wembanyama, and he needs to get back to playing at an elite level. He is playing under the guidance of one of the best coaches in NBA history, and Coach Pop will have to figure out how to help Victor Wembanyama get over his struggling phase.

The lack of a recognized point guard, and the shoveling of Jeremy Sochan into that role, is affecting one of Wemby’s greatest strengths: the pick and roll. As seen in his earlier games, when the Spurs execute a pick and roll, they’re near unstoppable, with nobody in the NBA capable of stopping Wembanyama at the rim.

Will the Spurs need to figure out an emergency mid-season trade for a point guard? Or can Coach Pop’s genius find a way for Wemby to be the lethal player we saw in his first few games?
