The Los Angeles Clippers demolished the Indiana Pacers tonight. Kawhi Leonard and Co. put on a scoring clinic against the in-season tournament finalists and blew them out 151-127. James Harden had another monster game for the Clippers, scoring a game-high 35 points and 9 assists. With tonight’s win, the Clippers extended their winning streak to 8 games. That is astounding progress, considering how the James Harden era started in LA.
However, two-time Champion Kawhi Leonard refused to take pride in the Clippers’ dominant streak and focused on the bigger picture.

The LA Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard continued his dominant form against the Indiana Pacers. He scored 28 points in tonight’s win. The Clippers are on their longest winning streak since 2016. The 8-game streak is also the longest winning streak of the Kawhi Leonard-Paul George era. When Kawhi was asked about their dominant run with James Harden, he was not too excited about this accomplishment. “It’s good, but I don’t think it means anything until we get to the end of the season. We’re trying to be the last team standing. But it’s good to be on this streak.” Kawhi said about their dominant streak.

The 2-time Champion knows what it takes to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy, and he is focused on the bigger goal of winning a Championship. Kawhi is famous for not showing too much emotion, and his response to the 8-game winning streak was aligned with his personality.
Kawhi is having a great season so far, averaging 24 points and 5.9 rebounds.

Can the Clippers finally bring home a championship?
This is the first season in a long time when the core players of the LA Clippers squad are healthy. Kawhi and Paul George joined forces in LA in 2019 but have not found any significant success in the 4 years they have played together, mainly because of injuries. When the James Harden era in LA began with a 5-game losing streak, the Clippers fans started losing hope once again. But Kawhi Leonard and Co. have forced a miraculous turnaround. They have not lost a single game in December and moved to the 6th spot in the Western Conference with a 16-10 record.
With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in exceptional form and James Harden finally showing why he is a former MVP, the Clippers have become a legitimate threat in the NBA. Tyronn Lue has figured out how to manage three ball-dominant superstars in the same squad.
