KD Opens Up about Phoenix Suns’ Chances of Winning the Title

In Kevin Durant, the Suns have one of the best players in the league. And when you add the likes of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal to the mix, the Suns look like a frightening team to play. They also traded away disgruntled DeAndre Ayton to the Blazers and added much-needed depth from that trade. But with fourteen new players on the roster, the Suns might need time to optimize the talent on their roster.

On NBA Media Day, Kevin Durant opened up about the chances of Phoenix winning it all. He said, “I don’t even look at seasons like that. I understand that’s a part of expectations and the talent level that we have on our team. It goes without saying that we should be winning every game and championship is always the goal. But I don’t even talk about that. How quickly can we come together? I think that’s the most important thing”.
KD further alluded to the fact that people would criticize the Suns if they don’t win the title. He said, “Obviously if we don’t win the title we’ll get pounced on”.

Can KD Lead Phoenix to the Promised Land?
The Suns have completely revamped their roster during the offseason. They have brought in fourteen new players and forming team chemistry might be an issue. But as KD iterated, “How quickly can we come together? I think that’s the most important thing”. Phoenix without a doubt has assembled a roster of talented players, but it remains to be seen how fast can the team gel.
