LeBron James and Rich Paul have been doing their thing together for decades now. More than a friend, than his agent, Paul is an integral part of James’ inner circle. It can be said that James is also a part of Paul’s inner circle. That’s because just like LBJ has dominated the NBA on the court, Paul has been able to deliver off the court. He helped Anthony Davis land a deal that is going to pay the stellar Forward more than $60 million a year. The agent doesn’t only unearth juicy deals for superstars, he has vouched for role players. He has helped them get higher contracts than they could imagine.
For James, any hate towards this personality is going to put him off. He is going to back his brother on both his brightest and darkest days.

Naturally, James figured in the documentary repeatedly and had a big role. During the 60 Minutes interview, the interviewer states, ”Critics say he is only successful because of his relationship with you”. King James replies, ”I mean it’s disappointing to hear that.” To this, the interviewer expressed, “You gave him an opportunity”
This made James say, ”Yeah, I don’t give people opportunities much. And he took well way beyond than what he imagined”. It is clear James is in awe of what his friend has accomplished. His own net worth which runs over a billion has been built in close association with him. His buddy is changing the game and has a cultural impact.
One of James’ nemesis, Draymond Green, is also a fan of the dealmaker.

The phenomenal agent also represents Green. In February 2019, the Forward chose Klutch Sports because it is managed by Paul. He helped him negotiate a four-year $100 million extension with the Warriors recently. On 60 minutes, Green explained why he rates Paul so highly. He said, “So then you end up a young black man who’s made more money than you can ever imagine. But you don’t know how to live with it. You don’t know what you do with it.”

He continued, “Most agents treat athletes as if the athlete works for them, but there’s a multi-billion dollar business going on around most athletes that they don’t understand. But they don’t have a Rich Paul to teach them, and that’s what’s special about it.”

Perhaps Green’s words best sum up the influence of this personality who became the first agent to have his own signature shoe.
