Devin Booker has joined an elite club which only players like LeBron and his Suns’ teammate KD have access to.

Devin Booker announced his latest project with Nike on GQ’s Instagram handle. Booker announced his new shoe by saying, “The Book 1 in hand. We got to pull back the layers. My crest tattoo on the inside of the tongue. Paid homage to my birth year (96) on the back. Sun bleached orange, just paying homage to Phoenix, all desert inspired. We started with the concept of having a future classic, something that can live 20 or 25 years from now. And i didn’t want to put it in a box, i didn’t want to call it a basketball shoe and i don’t want to call it a lifestyle shoe. Want to be able to live in all worlds.”

Devin Booker became just the 16th player in the history of basketball to sign a signature shoe deal with Nike. The list includes NBA legends like Michael Jordan, LeBron, Kobe, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to name a few. Booker’s entry in an exclusive list raises one question.

Can the Suns win it all?

With Devin Booker getting his signature shoe line, he now needs to perform on the big stage to prove that he belongs in the company of NBA greats such as LeBron, Jordan and Durant. He needs to lead the Phoenix Suns to their first ever NBA title.

Booker was very close in 2021 when he lost to Giannis and the Bucks in six games. But now he has more help than ever before. The Phoenix Suns are the frontrunners for this season’s NBA title and anything less would be viewed as an underperformance.
