The trade pressure mounts for the LA Lakers, as they lose two consecutive blow-out games. The Atlanta Hawks hosted the LA team and sent them back with a 16-point blowout win. Amid these tough times, D’Angelo Russell shared a light moment with Dejounte Murray after the game, leaving the NBA world to scratch their heads.

With only days remaining before the trade deadline, D’Lo has been at the forefront of the Murray trade. While it was natural to expect the duo to slip away without any interaction, they had a full-blown friendly chat, followed by a brotherly hug. Meanwhile, Austin Reaves, whom some of the fans wanted to trade instead of D’Lo, also slipped in for a hug.

A recent trade report from The Athletic’s Jovan Buha revealed that Lakers still have Dejounte Murray as the top priority. While the Hawks expect an All-Star in return from the Lakers, D’Angelo Russell is the only way out.

However, the Lakers Nation isn’t entirely happy with sending out D’Lo, as he has been the lone warrior in the team’s struggle in the last few games. The 27-year-old has averaged around 26 points in the last eight games. While Murray is touted as the direct replacement for Russell, there seems to be no bad blood between them. It looked like D’Lo accepted the fate coming his way.

A few weeks ago, Jovan Buha reported that the Lakers had failed to come to a negotiation with the Hawks, for the Murray trade. But, the report also highlighted that the two teams might revisit the trade days before the trade deadline. And, the recent report also revealed that Dejounte Murray is still the ‘top priority’.

Amid this situation, the Bleacher Report drew up a possible four-team trade to rope in Murray. As per their predictions, the Hawks will get Spencer Dinwiddie, Lakers’ Jalen Hood-Schifino and Jaxson Hayes along with a cash consideration of $18 million for Murray. On the other hand lakers, Lakers receive Murray, Wizards’ Tyus Jones and Wesley Matthews & Mouhamed Gueye from the Hawks. Importantly, Russell will move to the Brooklyn Nets.

While this is a possible trade scenario, there isn’t any confirmation that the Lakers would opt for a similar trade.
