The Phoenix Suns suffered a double blow in their recent loss to the Houston Rockets. First, they fell short 109-118 in the game, and then, to add to their troubles, Devin Booker suffered from an injury. This happened with just a minute left in the game when the Suns were trailing by 8 points. Booker found himself tangled up with teammate Royce O’Neale, which resulted in him twisting his right ankle. Booker, visibly in pain, limped off the court and headed straight for the locker room.

The Phoenix Suns have had a cloud of injuries looming over them. However, as per the latest update, Coach Vogel stated that Booker had a right ankle sprain while the x-rays came out to be negative. He further said, “will see how he responds.” The team’s woes don’t stop there, as Jusuf Nurkic suffered a neck sprain while Royce O’Neale got a neck sprain.

Tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets was meant to be the comeback game for Bradley Beal, but injuries plagued his team instead. Just seconds after Booker went down, the Phoenix Suns coach made a call to empty the bench. Adding to the chaos, Beal, who had just recovered from his own injury, was ejected with just over 7 minutes left in the game after a physical altercation.

Chaotic Showdown

While attempting to inbound the ball, Beal made contact with Jalen Green before passing. Upon returning to the court after a foul call, he further engaged in physical contact, shoving Green above his throat which led to his immediate dismissal from the game. His brief comeback appearance bagged him only seven points, two rebounds, and two assists.

This incident adds to a series of unfortunate events for the Phoenix Suns. Their star player, Devin Booker, has already missed a significant chunk of the season on account of various injuries, including recurring issues with his ankle. The injury suffered in today’s game raises concerns about his availability for their next game. Despite dishing out impressive stats throughout the season, including a near 28-point average, his performance in this game was blocked by both his injury and the overall team struggles, resulting in a disappointing night for the fans.

However, Coach Vogel’s latest update suggests Booker might be able to bounce back, though maybe not for the upcoming game against the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow. Sitting comfortably at number two in the Western Conference, OKC will likely be slightly favored in tomorrow’s game considering the Suns’ current cloud of injury. Stay tuned to find out more!
