The Podcast culture has swept the NBA landscape too. Whether it be former players or current players, they love talking about the game they love. Thus, this brings us up-close and personal narratives from the athletes. This helps clear the air about past incidents while also giving this player their dues. This also becomes an opportunity to clear past grievances.

In one such instance, Klay Thompson admitted his judgment in error when taunting Devin Booker. The Guard responds to Thompson’s admission and also seems to call out Paul George.

During October last year, the Warriors and the Suns were engaging in a heated battle. In the third quarter, Thompson blocked Booker’s attempt from three and proceeded to talk a lot of trash to him incessantly. The two exchanged a lot of words and in the midst of that, the four-time champion reminded Booker that he has four rings, while he has none.

This leads to a scuffle and in the process, Thompson gets ejected. This was early parts of the season and the Warriors had won the championship in 2022, looking to repeat. Looking back at the incident, Thompson doesn’t seem so proud. Sitting down with Paul George on his “Podcast P with Paul George”, he recalled the incident and was embarrassed.

George noted, “You lowkey a trash talker. What’s the favorite bar you dropped on someone in the league? I know Book, you gave him the four-time.” Klay responded, ”Yeah, I was in my feelings though. And Book was busting my a** that day. I was not where I needed to be. That didn’t age well for me. I don’t need to be flexing four rings, bro. Like everybody knows that”.

An embarrassed Klay claims that it was his “moment of weakness” and that he is “not proud of that one”. He then praises Booker, stating, ”I should see Booker and be like I am proud of this young man”. He then acknowledges the “work he has put in” to become a “Franchise player”.

On Insta, Booker acknowledged this gesture but also seemed to believe that PG-13 wanted to spark a dramatic reaction.

Are Booker and George beefing?

Under an NBA on ESPN Insta post which flashed Thompson’s comments on Booker, the Guard wrote,”@klaythompson 🫡”.

While he acknowledged the Warriors’ Shooting Guard’s humility, he had a different take on PG-13. He mentioned George and commented, “Is that the answer u was lookin for? @ygtrece”.

Did he hint that the Clippers Two-Way Star wanted some different answer than the one Thompson gave? Perhaps looking to start a drama. Two years ago, during the meeting between the Clippers and Suns, the two had a heated exchange. After a foul call, George took exception but Booker claimed that the Clippers star is “soft”.

After this incident, the two also had a heated exchange during the Fourth Game of the Western Finals between the Suns and Clippers in the same year. During both instances, the two look frustrated upon just seeing each other.
