Houston Rockets star player Jalen Green has reportedly been in a relationship with model and media personality Draya Michele for quite some time now. While their 17-year age gap had piqued fans’ interest, the recent revelation that the couple is expecting their first child together placed them as a prominent topic of discussion. This sudden rise in interest has led to eagle-eyed fans scouring social media to learn about any new developments in the couple’s relationship.
According to a Page Six report, Jalen Green recently took to his official Instagram account to share a story with his 2.4 million followers. It featured the player standing alongside his younger sister, with a caption attached below that read “happy bday lil sis”. While Green posted the story to mark a special occasion, fans instead focused on the various tattoos the 22-year-old had gotten on his torso. Upon closer observation, they noticed that below a quote that read “Believe in yourself”, Green had also gotten the word “Draya” tattooed on his stomach. While the ink was faint, there was no denying that the Rockets athlete had chosen to honor the mother of his speculated child by making her name a prominent part of his body art.
The NBA player’s gesture indicates that things are going strong between him and Draya Michele. However, that may not be the case, judging by the latter’s not-so-recent comments.

Draya Michele may not need Jalen Green to ‘co-parent’ her baby
In September 2023, Draya Michele appeared in an episode of ‘The Shade Room’ podcast. During the interview, which took place months before her pregnancy announcement, the model discussed her two other children, one of whom is just a year younger than Jalen Green. When asked if Michele would wish to have another baby, the latter enthusiastically replied, “Oh yeah, I want more kids”. When the interviewer indirectly asked whether she would wish to have that child with the person she is currently dating (Jalen Green), Michele took some time to think before giving an answer that cast some doubt on the couple’s future.
“At this point in my life, the relationship is amazing, but that’s not what I am basing having a kid on” said Michele. “I am very non-traditional. I feel like you can co-parent without being in a relationship. Maybe just two people say ‘Hey, you want a kid, I want a kid. Let’s just have a kid’”.

The 39-year-old’s not-so-recent-comments highlighted her opinion that having a child together is not a guarantee of a certain future. While she and Green seem to be in a good place at the moment, no one can predict what the future will hold for them.
