This new season is going to be extremely special for LeBron James. Not only he is headed into it with the all-time scorer tag, but he is also now the oldest active player in the league. Before King James, this record belonged to Andre Iguodala, but on October 20th he announced his retirement from the league after 19 seasons.

Whereas the LA Lakers superstar is headed to his 21st season in the league. Despite LeBron’s admirable feat, when compared to players from the past, the 4x NBA champion falls short, nearly by a decade.

King James would easily make the list of most accomplished athletes in the world of sports. From his NBA championships, Finals MVP, and league MVP, four of each, to his outside-the-court success, he is surely in a league of his own.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the kid from Akron has reached billionaire status. This made him the second NBA athlete and the only active athlete in the league to amass a billion-dollar net worth. During one of his training sessions, he was made aware of the fact that he is now the oldest player in the league. In response to this rather rare feat, King James screamed for the camera with a smile on his face.

This could be the reason he has already declared Anthony Davis as the face of the Lakers this season. Despite that, one can never undermine the ability and the experience that the 38-year-old has.
