Despite Missing Close Friend’s Big Night, LeBron James Lends His Support to Dwyane Wade’s Emotional Hall of Fame Speech

Dwyane Wade achieved basketball immortality as he was lately inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Wade was part of one of the most star-studded classes in Hall of Fame history. He joined legends like Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, and Tony Parker. His HoF enshrinement speech was also one for the ages. Amid all this, his Miami Heat partner and close friend LeBron James could not make it to the 3-time champion’s big night.

But LeBron James being The King did not forget to shower all the love on his former teammate via social media.

In an emotional moment during his Hall of Fame speech, Wade called his father to share the stage with him and appreciated his love and support throughout his life. “We in the Hall of Fame, dawg,” Wade added as he hugged his father, and the audience stood up to applaud the Miami Heat legend.

Wade’s pal and ex-playmate LeBron James was not present in the auditorium, but that didn’t stop the Akron Hammer to comment on the son-father’s stage moment, “So Fire”.

The Miami Heat Big 3 of LeBron, Wade, and Bosh wreaked havoc on the league from 2010 to 2014. The Heat Big 3 were an unstoppable force, and their on-court chemistry led to some historic NBA highlights. They made it to the NBA finals four consecutive times and won back-to-back NBA championships in 2012 and 2013.

The trio’s on-court success turned into a close friendship off the court as they constantly hung out with each other even after they parted ways.

Two of the Miami Heat Big 3 are in the Hall

Dwyane Wade became the second member of the Miami Heat Big 3 to be inducted into the Hall of Fame after Chris Bosh in 2021.

Wade’s career took off early as he was the first out of the three legends to win a ring in 2006, and was named the NBA finals MVP in only his third season. He was also a 13-time All-Star, and many consider him the third Greatest shooting guard behind only Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

With LeBron’s resume and GOAT-worthy status, it is a no-brainer that ‘King James’ will join his two friends in the Hall of Fame once his career is over. Until then, it is great to see LeBron giving Wade his flowers on the biggest night of his basketball career.
