The Slovenian star Luka Doncic is undoubtedly the best player on the Dallas Mavericks roster currently. In fact, he has practically been their best player since he burst onto the scene during the 2019-20 season, where he was chosen as an All-Star during his sophomore year in the league. Naturally, he also draws a large salary and there have been speculations which suggest he might sign the biggest deal in NBA history in the coming years.
Despite his massive 5 year deal with the Mavs, Doncic still falls short in terms of accumulated earnings to his former 7-foot-tall teammate, who is currently playing for the Boston Celtics.

Luka Doncic fails to beat former European teammate
7-foot-3 inches tall Latvian star Kristaps Porzingis spent three seasons with the Dallas Mavericks. Although his time with the Mavs brought little success on the court, Porzingis won outside of the court.
In just three seasons, he earned $78.4 million in salary according to hoopshype. Interestingly, he held the title of signing the richest deal in Mavs history before Luka Doncic took over that title recently.
Despite showing signs of promise, Porzingis left for the Washington Wizards after three seasons. After two seasons at the capital, the 4th overall pick during the 2015 NBA draft is currently with the Boston Celtics.
Doncic has earned around $69 million in salary from the Mavs to date. This puts him below players like Porzingis, Jason Terry, and Dwight Powell.

Doncic will soon surpass Mav’s legend
Although Luka Magic has earned just $69 million yet, his contract will soon take him to number 3 on the all-time list for the Mavs. He is signed to a 5-year $215 million contract which will run up to the 2026-27 season.
Considering his next contract will surely be upwards of $300 million, the Slovenian will surpass title-winning legend Dirk Nowitzki. The German legend earned $255,371,800 in salary while playing for the Dallas Mavericks.
