Luka Doncic‘s ex-teammate is moving on to another chapter of his life. Having spent the better years of his life, 12 years, to be exact, with the league, he is ready to embark on a new journey. It just so happens to be the picturesque Monaco. The Mediterranean life is surely a very good bargaining aspect.

His last NBA stint was with the Dallas Mavericks, which lasted for all of nine months. The 33-year-old had been plagued with injuries for quite some time now. It also affected his time with Dallas. Now that he’s moving on, Mavs star Doncic only has love for the veteran.

Luka Doncic showcases his support for former teammate

An NBA veteran, Kemba Walker, made his debut in the 2011 NBA draft under the then-Charlotte Bobcats. Since then, he has made his presence known in some of the top NBA teams, including the Celtics and Knicks. The 4x NBA All-Star was quite the sensation even during his college years. Coming up as the leading scorer in the nation during his junior year, he made it to one of the 6 regional covers of Sports Illustrated.

Since then, he has certainly made headlines in each team he’s been in. But they were also filled with injuries. In his final non-guaranteed deal with the Mavs, a lot of people looked at Walker’s presence with optimism. It could be why Luka expected him to come back. Nevertheless, he is happy with the veteran guard’s decision to join AS Monaco.

In a recent story update, Luka posted a picture of him watching the regular season game against Crvena Zvezda, a Serbian basketball club. Clearly, he wishes him only the best for his future.

Kemba Walker’s time with the Dallas Mavericks

Walker had signed with the Mavs in mid-season on a non-guaranteed deal. Though his primary wish was to stay with the NBA, Kemba also had to look out for himself. The injuries that seem to have latched onto himself were a major negative point.

During his time on the court with the Mavs, he played for a total of 144 minutes. Walker also averaged 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 16.0 minutes per game. This was definitely an optimistic result for the teams and fans alike. But, again, his injury proved to be a roadblock.

Fast forward to now and we see Luka Doncic back in the game and Walker taking his game to the Mediterranean. Hopefully, they can all get together for a vacation there. It will be quite relaxing.
