Coach Sanders was keen to take the Buffaloes to prominence with an extraordinary team change that comprised 87 rookies. The show’s headliner was unquestionably Shedeur Sanders, the coach’s son, who passed for a school-record 510 yards and four touchdowns. Shedeur’s accuracy and calmness as a quarterback is incredible. Even his game-winning 46-yard catch-and-run touchdown throw to freshman Dylan Edwards, with only 4:25 remaining on the clock, made an indelible impact. It was a performance that cemented his position as a budding college football star.

Shedeur Sanders, though, was not the only star on the field. Edwards demonstrated his flexibility and playmaking abilities by catching three touchdowns, including a stunning 75-yarder in the first minute of the second half, and running for another. Travis Hunter, a two-way star and former top prospect who followed the Sanders twins from FCS school Jackson State, had a remarkable showing as a defensive back with 11 catches for 119 yards and a key interception.

Colorado Buffaloes out-gained TCU in an offensive shootout, accumulating an amazing 565 total yards. Additionally, four Buffaloes receivers broke the 100-yard mark in a single game, which was a historic achievement for the program. Coach Sanders even took to his Instagram to warn all the other teams by writing, “We are coming.”?
