After months of trade drama in the off-season, James Harden finally found his new home with the Clippers. A huge section of fans criticized the deal, pointing out the failed Big-3 in Brooklyn Nets. Moreover, the LA Clippers‘ disappointing game on Harden’s debut further increased the noise around the narrative. However, the popular narrative has finally been brought down with statistics.
Ever since Harden called Daryl Morey a liar, the trade has been on the cards. Interestingly, the Beard has always shown his interest in the Clippers and eventually, he received what he wished for. In the meantime, fans criticized him for jumping to the third team since his trade from the Houston Rockets, especially for breaking the Nets’ big-3 union. Amid this noise, the veteran NBA analyst Ohm Youngmisuk debunked the narrative with a simple stat in a recent podcast.

Steve Ballmer, the Clippers owner, made a bold move to rope in James Harden despite the start of the new season. The deal became a huge talking point in the league because of his team-up with Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard. Along with it, fans raised the important question, ‘Who will handle the ball?’. Importantly, they highlighted the failure of the Nets’ big three.
In response to these opinions, floating over the NBA world, Ohm Youngmisuk debunked it on the recent podcast episode of The Lowe Post. Youngmisuk began his opinion, clearing the air on the Nets’ confusion.
He said, “The Brooklyn thing was out of his control because I remember being there with him.” He further elaborated on how Kyrie Irving‘s resistance to getting the vaccine affected him. Eventually, this led him to quit the franchise.
Following that, he backed the Clippers’ choice in building the ‘Big-4’ with a big breakthrough. Ohm added, “They went back and did watch the film… We watched it of how he fit in with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving… the Clippers saw was a guy who was a willing passer who kind of took a step back to those guys.”
