The drama around James Harden trade talks thawed lately when NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the Philadelphia 76ers’ plan to bring The Beard for this year’s training camp. Harden earlier hinted the trade from the 76ers and showed his desire to play alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in Los Angeles. But days after the update, Harden dropped another bomb on the front office by publicly slamming Sixers president Daryl Morey in China.
Harden is in China to promote his wine business. During a media interaction there, he opened up on the offseason trade drama and showed deep discontent with the 76ers. He made it clear that he does not want to wear the Sixers uniform next season.

Harden openly criticized Sixers President Daryl Morey after the latter was unable to keep his promise of a sizable contract extension for the NBA star. Notably, Harden took a pay cut while signing with the Sixers so that they could add PJ Tucker to their squad and make a run for the title. But after Joel Embiid’s injury and a disappointing result in the playoffs, Harden is not happy with his situation in Philadelphia.

Harden’s China presser hardly left anything unsaid. “Daryl Morey is a liar,” he said. “And I’ll never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of. Let me say that again. Daryl Morey is a liar and I’ll never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”
Harden did not sugarcoat his words and emphasized on his frustration with the 76ers organization.

Even though the Sixers were not able to win a championship, Harden played at an All-Star level last season, averaging 21 points, 10.7 assists, and 6.1 rebounds. He also picked up the $35.6 million player option this off-season and wanted to be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
But after his controversial statement, Philadelphia fans might not see their point guard in the Sixers uniform next season. Phily has already fired their head coach, Doc Rivers, and signed former Coach of The Year Nick Nurse to steer the ship and get them over the hump.
