Giannis Antetokounmpo is a man of his word. In the off-season when he flirted with the idea of leaving Milwaukee, the Bucks stepped in big time by bringing in Damian Lillard. And it was the Greek freak’s turn to show his respect, and he did it in the most adorable way. This is going to cheer up all the Bucks fans, as Milwaukee is going to begin their season with a lot of promise.
Damian Lillard has a two-year contract, along with two-year extension, there by making him available till 2027-28 season. And what about Giannis?

There are only a very few superstars in the NBA who play with a single franchise their entire career. Damian Lillard was touted to be one until his exit from Portland this off-season. Though Lillard’s departure from the Blazers broke his eleven year streak, his arrival to the Bucks has extended Giannis’ career with Milwaukee. Shams Charania reports that Milwaukee Star Giannis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a 3 year $186 million contract extension with the bucks.

The NBA insider extraordinaire, Adrian Wojnarowski; reports that the Bucks GM Jon Horst and Antetokounmpo’s agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon, met on Sunday in Chicago. They have worked through the max extension details in such a way that it matches the two time MVP’s contractual period with Damian Lillard’s timeline. And Giannis Antetokounmpo has given his nod. Thus, both these superstars are going to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks until 2027-28 season.
Bucks GM Jon Horst and Antetokounmpo’s agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon, met on Sunday in Chicago, worked through the max extension details and the two-time MVP finalized the agreement today, sources tell ESPN. Giannis had an 11:59 PM ET deadline tonight to complete the deal.

The Milwaukee Bucks are leading the way for small market teams to follow. Many times, when a lottery team gets a great player through draft, it ends up losing him in free agency. And it is not a question of loyalty. Both parties should want to win, and they have to prove their intents time and time again like the Bucks.

Title or Bust
For the foreseeable future, the Milwaukee Bucks are going to be in title contention. With such a roster, every year is going to be a title or bust year for them. Yet, when the superstars show such credibility, it has to be welcomed and responded in kind by the ownership.
