San Francisco 49ers’ Arik Armstead was wearing LBJ’s Zoom Generation 1 wheat kicks in yesterday’s match. Not surprisingly, the defensive end caught the attention of the King. In his story, LeBron was quite excited, calling it “Crazy!!!! Arik kicks”. 

A sneaker artist originally posted the news on their page, saying it was a “wheat type of night” for Arik Armstead.

The 29-year-old defensive end is one of the best players of the 49ers. He earned the title of defensive captain three times in his career (2020-2022). In 2019, he registered single-season career highs in tackles (54), sacks (10.0), passes defended (2), forced fumbles (2) and fumble recoveries (1). Armstead’s excellence goes beyond the field. The Armstead Academic Project (AAP, estd. 2019) ensures youth education and is centered on overall social justice. It’s no surprise that Armstead earned nominations for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
