Tyrese Haliburton has taken the NBA World by storm. The 23-year-old point guard has taken a giant leap this season and solidified himself as a superstar in the league. Haliburton has led the Indiana Pacers to the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 23-17 record. He is also leading the league in assists at 12.5 dimes per game. Impressed by his incredible playmaking ability, many superstars want to team up with Haliburton to form a lethal duo.

Haliburton’s talent has even caught the attention of former Indiana Pacers franchise player Paul George. The 8-time All-Star is “intrigued” by the idea of playing with Haliburton after his breakout season.

Yahoo Sports reporter Jake Fischer revealed what Paul George thought about the idea of teaming up with Indiana’s new superstar Tyrese Haliburton. “They were intrigued, from my understanding, about the idea of playing together.” Fischer said. PG is in the third year of his 4-year $176.2 million contract with the LA Clippers. He has a player option for next season. So, there is a possibility that if things do not work out in LA this year, George might consider moving back to the team that drafted him. However, the idea of George and Haliburton teaming up anytime soon seems farfetched because of how well both superstars are playing with their current team.

While Haliburton has helped Indiana become relevant in the East again, PG is focused on winning a Championship in LA. PG has led the Clippers to the 4th spot in the Western Conference with a 26-14 record. They have the best record in the NBA since November 17. George arguably has the best team of his career, playing alongside three future Hall of Famers, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook. ‘

And this might be his best chance to win a Championship.

The Paul George and Tyrese Haliburton fit

Paul George was the franchise player for Indiana from 2010 to 2017. But due to a lack of superstar teammates and the presence of LeBron James in the East, PG was never able to reach the NBA Finals. If George teams up with Haliburton in the future, that could transform the Pacers franchise. With Haliburton’s playmaking ability and PG’s scoring prowess, they could become one of the most lethal duos in the league.

PG is doing wonders in LA this season, averaging 23.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. And his numbers would only improve playing with a star like Haliburton. The Indiana Pacers fans hope to see their two franchise players teaming up in the future and wreaking havoc on the league.
