The misery continues for the Golden State Warriors, even after Stephen Curry’s return. The Bay Area team took on the Oklahoma City Thunder for the third time in the season. While both teams shared a victory each, the third game went down the live wire for a nail-biting finish. Despite the Warriors’ improved offensive play, they couldn’t withstand the OKC. To be more precise, rookie Chet Holmgren single-handedly denied the Dubs on Saturday.
After missing out on two games due to a knee injury, Stephen Curry returned to the Dubs lineup. The superstar’s return definitely propelled the performance of the team’s offense. Importantly, it also kick-started individual performances of stars like Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson. At the end of the day, the Dub Nation was left hanging with the 6th straight loss.

Chet Holmgren recreated a Stephen Curry special
Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins, who went under the radar since the start of the season, registered their presence on Saturday night. Wiggins led the team’s offense with 31 points, including a crucial three-pointer to take a lead with 1 second remaining in the game. On the other hand, Holmgren created a massive coincidence in the attempt to register his team’s 8th win of the season. The 21-year-old rising star produced his career best, dropping 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, including 2 3-PM.

Ironically, Holmgren’s Saturday night figures against Steph & men were last dropped by a rookie in 2010 and it was the Baby-faced Assassin.
In a game against the LA Clippers in 2010, rookie Steph recorded 36 points with 10 rebounds and 13 assists. He didn’t stop there. He went on to drop his season best with 42 points against the Portland Trail Blazers.
