The Boston Celtics shut down the LA crowd with a dominating performance, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day. It wasn’t Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, who guided the team with their offensive brilliance, but the 7 ‘3 star Kristaps Porziņģis. The Latvian star dropped 28 points and took home the festival day gift along with the support of his teammates. However, among his teammates, he revealed his “Perfect teammate”, following the game.
Porzingis found a spot in the Celtics’ starting line-up following his exit from the Washington Wizards. The 28-year-old star’s tall stature has been an added advantage to the Boston side’s attack. Moreover, he has equally helped the team reach the top of the Eastern Conference table after the departure of Marcus Smart and Grant Williams. Now that the star cemented his spot in the Celts team, let’s find out his ‘perfect teammate’.

It was the Celtics star guard Derrick White, who racked up the title ‘perfect teammate’ from Kristaps Porzingis. It’s natural to go under the radar in a team filled with superstars like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Jrue Holiday. But White and Porzingis stuck to their roles and produced some impressive numbers to pull them into the conversation.
Importantly, Porzingis wasn’t shying away from highlighting the efforts of White, following his game-winning effort on Monday night. White dropped 18 points with 11 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, supporting Porzingis’ efforts.
While addressing the reporters in the post-game press conference, Porzingis shared his two cents on the White brilliance. He said, “I didn’t realize how good D White was… He was kinda under the radar little bit. He is special… 90% of time, he makes the right play all the time… That’s the perfect teammate you want.”
