There were reports about Jayson Tatum throwing a tantrum in the locker room after his controversial ejection in the 4th quarter. The Celtics forward denied those rumors during the post-game interview, “I wasn’t kicking sh*t over in the locker room.”
Tatum got ejected after he received two quick technical fouls for complaining about not getting foul calls. In the opening minutes of the 4th quarter, Tatum drove to the rim to dunk the ball. But his shot was blocked by Rockets forward Cam Whitmore.
The Celtics star believed he was fouled on the play and started arguing with the officials. He was also frustrated about two previous plays where he thought he was fouled by the Rockets players.

Jayson Tatum faced the same fate last month
Tonight’s ejection was not the first time this season Tatum was on the receiving end of a controversial decision. He faced the same fate last month during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Tatum got called for an offensive foul after he lost his handle and accidentally hit Robert Covington in the face. He was mad about the foul call and started arguing with the officials. The Celtics forward was immediately tossed from the game with a second technical foul. He was unhappy with the call and charged at the referees. Tatum had to be stopped by the Celtics staff at the announcer’s table.

Even though the Celtics played without their superstar for the rest of the game, they came out with a dominant win in both games he got ejected. That is one of the reasons the Boston Celtics have stayed on top of the Eastern Conference standings for the majority of the season. They have a superstar who is not afraid to speak his mind and a team that can take care of business in his absence.
