James Harden finally got traded to the Los Angeles Clippers after a series of drama. His having a lot of issues with the Sixers management was not something unknown. The Beard decided to sit out for the games and practice sessions at Philadelphia. The situation in the dressing room was evidently not healthy due to all these.

The ten-time All-Star finally opens up in front of the media in a Clippers shirt for the first time.

During the media interaction, Harden discussed various things, as well as his issues with the 76ers. He told the media that he felt like being on a leash. He further claimed that a player like him should be trusted by his coaches. The 34-year-old wants clarity between the players and coaches and stated that there should be outbound suggestions as well where he can voice his opinion. He also said, “I’m not a system player, I am a system.”

In the video uploaded by ESPN on YouTube, a panel of four was seen discussing regarding this. Among them was Kendrick Perkins, who won an NBA with the Boston Celtics in 2008. Perkins reacted to the video and took a dig at Harden. Above all, he refused to even trust him. What made him so furious at ‘The Beard’?

“Number one, no one trusts you James, and no one should trust you. We watch you last season, quit in a crucial game seven and lay down on your team.” Perkins further added, “This is Paul George and Kawhi Leonard’s team and the fact that James even have that mindset is crazy to me.”?

The former NBA champion also said that Harden should come into this team, willing to do whatever he needs to do. He mentions that Harden cannot tell a championship coach on how to coach him, where he himself never won a title.

Other than Harden, his Sixers teammate P.J. Tucker also joined the Clippers. Even though Tucker made his Clippers debut, Harden is supposed to come on court against the New York Knicks this Monday. The Clippers even after putting a splendid display, lost to the Lakers in their last game. The addition of James Harden surely strengthens their roster.

How he bonds with the star duo of PG and the Klaw, is yet to be seen. Perhaps his stint with the Clippers won’t be as dramatic, as it was with the Sixers and the Brooklyn Nets.
