The Milwaukee Bucks are set to face off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Even though the team currently stands as the 2 seed on the Eastern Conference Points Table, they need to restore their winning impression amongst fans in the aftermath of their recent 35 points loss against the Warriors. With anticipation rising for the same, fans have been waiting to hear whether star player Giannis Antetokounmpo will be making the game in light of the injury that caused him to miss out on the recent game against the LA Clippers. At the same time, it has placed players like Khris Middleton (left ankle sprain), Chris Livingston (G-League assignment) Jaylin Galloway, Ryan Rollins and TyTy Washington Jr. (two-ways) in the ‘out’ category.

Despite his Achilles Injury, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to be consistent
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s presence since the last 2-3 games has been questionable, ever since his Achilles Tendinitis started to act up. It was the very reason why he chose to opt out during the clash against the Clippers. Prior to the same, the Greak Freak had been one of the most consistent players of the season and had only missed 1-2 other games. When asked about the same before the Warriors game, Giannis replied that while it is important to be present for each and every game and use the time to “build chemistry” with his teammates, it is also important to not put oneself at unnecessary risk.
“At the end of the day, if I don’t feel like I can protect myself out there, I try not to put myself at risk because I feel like the moment you have things that linger, then you put yourself in (harm’s way) – especially the way I play,” said Giannis.

The Milwaukee Bucks currently occupy a very high spot on the Points table, which makes it even crucial for them to maintain their momentum as the playoffs draw nearer. Giannis’s chances of unavailability may cast some doubt on whether the same could be possible. Only time will tell what happens next.
