Furthermore, in the off-season, James was seen proposing a sneaker swap with Deion Sanders upon his new cleat launch.

Now, with the holiday season approaching and the In-Season rewards on his side, LeBron James made a surprise Christmas delivery to a university in Pittsburgh. The unexpected gift had the entire team gleefully scrambling around, expressing their gratitude and thanks to LeBron.

Dru Joyce, LeBron James’ childhood friend, expressed gratitude on X for LeBron’s generous gesture of providing the Duquesne University Men’s Basketball roster with fresh pairs of sneakers. In response, LeBron promptly replied to his friend after the Los Angeles Lakers game against the San Antonio Spurs, stating, “Yessir!!! You guys are truly welcome!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👑.”

James, taking his gifts a notch beyond, presented the squad with custom collaborative sneakers, with the institution’s logo ingrained on the shoes. Dru Joyce III is currently the associate head coach for the Dukes.

Apart from being James’ childhood friend, he was once LeBron’s teammate during their time at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.
