The Golden State Warriors have a chance to payback the Los Angeles Lakers after their disappointing playoff exit. The Dubs are gearing up for their preseason opener against the Lakers on Saturday. Importantly, Stephen Curry along with his newest teammate Chris Paul are cleared to taken on the court for the LA faceoff. Meanwhile, ahead of the game, the Baby-faced Assassin issued a stern warning to the league in an interview.
The San Francisco side under Steve Kerr faced their first-ever playoff series defeat outside Finals last season. LeBron James & Co kicked out the Dubs with a 4-2 series win. Even though Steph didn’t open up much about the disappointing defeat to the media, he recently shed light on that. Along with it, he also revealed the team’s potential to get back on top again.

Following the 2018- 19 successful regular season campaign, the Dubs struggled to even to qualify to the playoffs two years in a row. Moreover, they even hit rock bottom, seeding 15th with a poor 15-50 record in 2019-20 season. Recalling that, Steph said, “There have been plenty of years where we haven’t been the team.. the last team standing.” However, he also assured the confidence in the team’s huddle. He added, “The belief that we can get back there is real, the work we put in over the summer is real.”
Furthermore, he opened up about his hopes for the upcoming season and issued a clear warning to his opponents. He said, “I’m excited about this next 82… I’m in my 15th year I still feel like I’m in my prime obviously.”
He also added, “We still truly believe we can win at the highest level.”

Facing a rare playoff series defeat, Steph finally opened up about the loss. He said, “Winning a championship is everything…when it doesn’t happen it sucks.” He further spoke about his chances to get back and compete again with the Lakers. Subsequently, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed the starting line up for the preseason opener on media day. Since Draymond Green has sprained his ankle, Steph, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney will take on the court.
