During the 2023-24 NBA season, the OKC will play on not one, but two separate courts at the Paycom Center for the first time in franchise history. This is a big change from the team’s prior practice of having only one alternative court. Not only will the Thunder revive their special edition NBA In-Season Tournament court, but they will also unveil a brand-new City Edition hardwood.

Gary Payton, GSW’s sharpshooting guard, gave his opinions on the new In-Season Tournament court designs.

Payton compared the court’s unusual blue color scheme to Boise State’s iconic football field. He joked that the blue was “kinda messing with my eyes,” but immediately added that he would acclimate to it.
