Ayesha Curry Mourns Sad Israel Conflict

The world has come to a standstill after the unprecedented attack on Israeli civilians by the Palestinian militant group, Hamas. Following the attack, the Israeli military ordered a ‘complete siege’ on Gaza as a retaliation. Apart from this, hundreds of civilians lost their lives, caught in the air strikes from both ends. Amid these testing times, Ayesha Curry has taken a stand for humanity with her recent social media activity.

It all began on Saturday, when the militants ambushed a rave party and killed 100 civilians, reported NY Times. Following that, they continued their attack on the civilians, killing over 700 and abducting 150. In retaliation, Israeli forces dropped air strikes and gun battles, killing 413 Gazans, reported Gazan health officials. Moreover, the issue attained further global attention when POTUS Joe Biden extended his support to Israel, saying, “United States stands with Israel.”

Ayesha Curry stands up for humanity

While the terror continues to affect the rest of the world and unsettle the public, Ayesha Curry took to her Instagram stories and dropped an important message to her followers. Some sections of the public in the social media condemned the unprecedented attack and abduction of Israeli lives. On the other hand, another section of the public highlighted the Palestinian lives lost in the last few years. Meanwhile, the rest scratched their head in confusion. To put an end to all the noise, Ayesha took a strong stand.

She shared a post created by Leah Thomas, an American environmental activist. The post addressed everyone, especially the public that didn’t belong to either of the communities involved in the conflict. It read, “If you aren’t in either community… I encourage you to center humanity during this time.” Thomas also highlighted that both communities had shown their support for the ‘liberation of black people for decades.’

Furthermore, the post also urged us to be compassionate towards lives despite having a critical view on the issue.

It further read, “We need a solution that centers humanity. We cannot continue to justify any type of human rights violations.” This isn’t the first time Ayesha has made her stance on social issues clear. She also opened up about how important it is for her to discuss social issues with her kids.

During an interview with Self magazine, Ayesha opened up on why she and Stephen Curry took their daughter to the Black Lives Matters march.

She said, “It was time, you know what I mean? And we felt like the best way to explain everything to her was for her to see it and understand it and hear it firsthand. So we brought her with us.”
