The Los Angeles Lakers’ opening match did not go as per expectations. The loss against the defending champions Denver Nuggets is surely a setback. LeBron James and co. lost the season opener by 119-107.

Lakers star forward Anthony Davis failed to impress last night. He scored 17 points in the first round but could not clinch a single point in the final two quarters. Davis had no answer to Nikola Jokic’s outstanding play. Jokic on the other hand scored 29 points.

Despite the eight-time All-Star did not shine enough when needed, he is still very much in the news. But in this case, for something else.

A man standing looking almost like Anthony Davis, is in Lakers shirt with a disappointed face. Such scenes, that too in the season opener is sure to catch attention and so it did. As very much expected, he was not very pleased either, like his superstar lookalike.

Fans were all in to bash AD though. They criticized him for not being able to carry the team in non-LeBron minutes. Lakers saw AD as counter to Jokic. Honestly, there was no competition on that end.

We don’t know if this fan will be present in the rest matches, but AD needs to step up high time. Lakers’ fortune depends a lot on him. We cannot expect LeBron James to play until the end in his final season. Let’s see how the star forward silences his critics.
