The Los Angeles Lakers recently lost their third game in a row, kicking off a losing streak. The team could not match up with the Chicago Bulls who defeated the Lakers with a 124-108 final score. After rolling his ankle during the game, the Lakers staff rushed Anthony Davis to the locker room. The only good thing was that Davis did not miss the entire game and played an entirety of 38 minutes. Davis had a word with the media after the game. When asked about the Lakers’ struggle, Davis said, We just gotta get back to having fun, playing for each other, playing together. Keep competing and stay the course.”

“There’s no break coming. There’s no help coming, there’s no cavalry. We gotta do it within this locker room, we got everyone back. We just gotta get that one [win], get the spirits back up, and go from there.

The Lakers are somewhere in the middle of the Western Conference right now. After winning the first-ever NBA Cup in the league In-season Tournament, Los Angeles has not been able to capitalize on their season record.

Anthony Davis had somewhat of a mediocre game against the Chicago Bulls. Davis finished the game with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks for the game. From a numbers perspective, Davis did have a good game.

But given that the team needed another scoring outburst other than LeBron James, the responsibility falls on Davis for that. And with his recent ankle injury, it would be crucial to find out if this injury will rule AD out for the next few games or not.

Let’s see what the news is on Davis’ ankle as the Lakers will need everything to make a strong push in the West.
