After finally gaining momentum by winning 3-games consecutively, the Lakers are back to square one. With the night being an emotional one due to the unveiling of the Kobe Bryant statue, the Lakers showed their resilience but suffered a hard-fought 114-106 loss against the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers made all efforts, especially when they were down by 15 points, the team rebounded with Anthony Davis’ 32 points and LeBron James’ 25 points to get back into the competition, but to no avail.
In the post-game interview, Davis addresses their situation by saying, “For us right now it’s just about winning the next game. Can’t look too far ahead into the future, obviously, that’s the end goal to win every year. But there’s a lot of things we have to clean up before we can start thinking about competing for a championship.”

Davis further went on to explain how the Lakers franchise is used to winning championships as they are one of the most decorated teams in the NBA. And it is because of their stature, that everybody on the Lakers roster wants to win a championship but currently, all players just need to get healthy. Because going in against the Nuggets the Lakers were playing without Max Christie, Jarred Vanderbilt, and D’Angelo Russell.
Not only them but even James and Anthony Davis were questionable due to their respective injuries, but they still managed to play despite the injuries. However, if their squad gets healthy do the Lakers have the potential to turn this season around in their favor?
