Amid Unhappy Rumors, 27YO Hawks Guard shares special note to agent Rich Paul: “Forever Thankful and Grateful”

Rich Paul’s clientele is flat-out impressive. His agency ‘Klutch Sports Group’ has contracts totaling at least $1.4bn. Rich has always believed in maintaining and prioritizing athletes over the teams. When Dejounte Murray was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft with #29th overall pick, nobody believed in him. Murray proved himself that he is all about grind and no gimmicks. Today the 27 YO guard is an All-Star. 

That’s just another success story of Rich’s dozens of clients. And Murray is grateful to have Rich as his agent. 

Dejounte silences all rumors  

Murray took to Instagram and shared a picture hugging Rich Paul and he wrote, “More life to a real one. Forever thankful and grateful for you.” 

Rich got him the best deal with the Atlanta Hawks. Murray finalized a max four-year, $120 million extension with the Hawks, forgoing free agency next summer. The contract includes a player option for the final season, ensuring his presence in Atlanta through the 2027-28 campaign. Despite getting a happy deal, there are rumors that Murray is not happy in Atlanta. 

The root of rumors is stemming from cryptic tweets. He liked two tweets which suggests that he is not happy. A user tweeted that Dejounte was not getting enough playing time, and a second came from his father, who was not happy with the organization and called it a “straight circus show”. 

If Trae Young is carrying the Hawks, Murray is the second on the list as the biggest contributor. There is no heat in the team at the moment, so these rumors can just be conjectures.

Dejounte is putting up strong numbers this season. He is currently averaging 20 points per game after playing an average of 34.9 minutes per game. On the other hand, Trae is averaging 35.2 minutes for 28.0 points per game. Trae and Murray will be back in action on Tuesday, 19th Dec. against the Detroit Pistons.
