James Harden keeps Philadelphia waiting yet again. With the possibility of beginning the season against the Bucks, this move by the 34-year-old isn’t making things any better. The tensions between Harden and 76ers have been a topic of discussion for some time now. and this could possibly be just another way of Harden pulling out of the team.

This comes with the player skipping the recent 76ers practice session. the same move that he pulled in Brooklyn and Houston. He Knows this game pretty well.

An unexpected rendezvous

According to multiple reports, Harden has returned to his home in Houston while the 76ers practice goes on. Another report said that the player hasn’t been with the team since Sunday, October 15th.

The ESPN reporter, Ramona Shelburne, also tweeted that the 76ers plan to give Harden the chance to explain his “unexcused absence” before taking any action.

Recently, Harden skipped the 76ers’ media day on October 2nd and was reported to be on the West Coast. He has also been absent in all three of their preseason games. There is a slim chance of him being in good shape and he has also skipped over most of the training camp activities.

Reports say that Harden has been intending to trade with LA  Clippers. The trade however is still ongoing as Clippers is unwilling to include Terance Mann or additional draft capital in the trade package. With this, there is an increasing likelihood that Harden will start the season on Philadelphia’s roster against the Bucks.

The tensions remain

The trade discussions with the Clippers, however much unlikely, may be the reason for his moves recently. Moreover, the tensions between the 10-time All-Star and the 76ers’ president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, are out in the open.

Daryl reportedly refused to give Harden a four-year long-term contract extension. Harden even went on to call Daryl a “liar” while speaking at a marketing event in China and is committed to never working for a team with him as the boss.

In a recent cryptic post on Instragram, Harden fueled the tensions even more. “Been comfortable for so long. It’s time to get uncomfortable”, he wrote.
