Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers did not have a fruitful offseason. The team went through a lot of drama involving The Beard. The reigning MVP got engaged this past offseason and his teammate James Harden was nowhere to be seen. To add insult to injury, Harden requested a trade and when things didn’t go his way, he ended up calling out the 76ers president.

Now with Harden?s exit from Philly happening sooner or later, there have been rumors that the New York Knicks may be eyeing Joel Embiid. But amid all the rumors, Embiid made sure to give a shoutout to this $100 million fellow Philadelphian.

The Philadelphia 76ers may not be done with their tough times. The offseason in fact may just be a start. James Harden, who made it evidently clear that he does not want to remain in Philly, is still with the team.

Now, there is no doubt that the 76ers would trade Harden sooner or later. The front office would rather take a one-sided deal instead of risking their own team?s atmosphere in the locker room.

But with everything surrounding Harden, the New York Knicks are also eyeing Philly?s MVP, Joel Embiid. There are rumors that Harden?s exit may spark something in Embiid as well and the 76ers may be willing to part ways with him.

Now, whether that is true or not, Embiid?s actions make it seem like he is pretty happy in Philadelphia. Recently, Embiid was spotted at a Phillies game, donning Bryce Harper?s number three jersey.

He got up and flexed for the camera before turning around and emphasizing Harper?s name and jersey number on the back. So, it does not look like Embiid is unhappy with the team.

And now, Harden himself wants out of Philly and it may be hard for the 76ers to get a good deal for him. So, should the team trade away Joel Embiid for future pieces to pair with Tyrese Maxey and others?
