There are few things in basketball that gets the spectators out of their seats more than a killer crossover. Players like Tim Hardaway and Allen Iverson are celebrated for their crossovers. Another player who is renowned for his distinctive dribbling style is Kyrie Irving. He, along with Iverson, is widely regarded as two of the greatest dribblers to ever grace an NBA court.
However, an NBA veteran got a lot of stick from his co-host when he suggested that Kyrie was a better dribbler than AI. The co-host used the example of Michael Jordan to hit home his point of view.

In the latest episode of the Pat Bev Podcast, Patrick Beverley called Kyrie Irving a better dribbler than Allen Iverson. He said, “From my generation, from what I seen because I ain’t really guarded Allen Iverson, from my era, with the ball, it’s Kyrie.” However, Gillie Da Kid disagreed with Pat Bev’s viewpoint. He said, “It’s different kind of handles though. You was never right there with Iverson. AI’s crossover was so vicious that they said you can’t do that sh*t no more cause he crossed Mike out them motherf**king Jordans.”
While AI’s crossover achieved iconic status, the move drew a lot of attention from the NBA’s governing body because it towed the line between legal and illegal. Iverson’s crossover was frequently called for a carry during the 1990s and early 2000s. However, this did slow down Iverson, as he became league MVP in the 2000-01 season. His heroics guided an unfancied Philadelphia 76ers side to the NBA finals where they eventually lost to the Shaq-Kobe-led Lakers. Nevertheless, his stellar performances for the Sixers made him an icon of the city of Philadelphia.
