Newly drafted rookies often tend to make bold claims that would get them the attention they think they deserve. While the majority of those claims turn out to be nothing more than false promises, a very small percentage of those players actually go on and manage to achieve it all. The Charlotte Hornets drafted Kai Jones with the 19th overall pick back in 2021. Since then, Jones has made barely any mark on the league, yet the Texas product has managed to make some big claims.
Kai Jones went on to disrespect Michael Jordan, Shaquille O?Neal, and LeBron James in a span of mere hours. At first, he took shots at the Big Aristotle, claiming that he would ?Cook Prime Diesel in here.?
Not only that but he decided to drag in the Los Angeles Lakers? star LeBron James as well. When a Twitter page asked if he would be able to take Bron in a 1v1, he did not leave that opportunity as well. His answer was ?Yes 100%.?
And now, the 22-year-old made another wild claim regarding one of the biggest pop icons of the 21st century. Kai Jones recently posted on X, ?I?m bigger than Michael Jackson these days the way I?m feeling man.?

The way Jones has been acting on social media has fans worried about him. Many are coming to the conclusion that Jones may be on some substance and a drug test may be on its way from the league.
In the two seasons that he has been in the league, Kai Jones has yet to prove himself more than a role player. At 6?11, Jones comes off the bench for the Charlotte Hornets and hasn?t even made it to the starting lineup.
So, for him to make claims regarding multiple-time All-Stars, NBA champions, and Hall of Famers may just not sit well with the NBA community. Given that one of the legends he disrespected was the former owner of his team.
