Charlotte Hornets star Miles Bridges has had a tumultuous career since he joined the team. From domestic abuse charges to misdemeanor child abuse, Bridges has created chaos. Yet, here he is again, facing another set of domestic abuse allegations from the mother of his children. Per the police reports, Miles threatened his ex-girlfriend and violated a restraining order during a custody exchange.
Seeing as this wouldn’t be the first time Bridges has gone so far with his threats, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone the kind of damage he inflicted. In a recent stint, Miles has come up with a very interesting choice of changes in his social media handle.

Soon after the allegations of his recent misdemeanor took flight, Miles attempted to be Johnny Depp on his Twitter handle (via NBACentral). He changed his profile picture to Johnny Depp. The only logical explanation behind this sudden change would be Depp refuting claims of ever hitting “any woman.”

Not that it did much good. The comment section is blowing up with how the only difference perhaps, would be that there is actual hard evidence to back Johnson’s claims, which wasn’t the case with Depp-Heard. Johnny’s fight against Heard got him $15 million in damages. Not sure if that was what Bridges was trying to go for here, but if it is, his chances are very low. Extremely.
On a different note though, this would create another setback for the Hornets forward.
Bridges’ NBA career does not look too bright
Allegations and summons do not just create a dent for a player, but they reflect badly on the team and the league as well. So far, the Hornets general manager, Mitch Kupchak has declined to make any comments on the situation.

NBA spokesperson Mike Bass issued a statement Thursday that said: “We are in contact with the Hornets and gathering information.” In addition, a warrant for a protection order violation was issued for Bridges in January in the Mecklenburg County Office, which hasn’t been served. According to journalist Nick Carboni of WCNC Charlotte, “Tonight’s reports were the first the #Hornets organization had learned about Miles Bridges’ warrant.“

In November 2022, Bridges accepted a no-contest plea for a felony domestic violence charge, leading to a three-year probation sentence. The NBA also issued a 30-game suspension without pay, of which 20 games were considered as served. It looks like this season is also in the wind for the Hornets’ forward. What do you think?
